Please remember to give your first and last name and the city and state where you live in all your e-mails.

Non-USA customers please include the country.

Stock Checks:

Inventory is a fluid commodity.  It changes by the hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it.
We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson. When we held items for customers’ orders, the order never materialized 80%+ of the time.  We lost out on the orders placed while the item was on hold.  Also we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual orders.
Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms pages, we don’t do it anymore.
You may, however, call in and we will tell you if the items are available and if possible attempt to locate what we don’t have while you are on the phone.

Please place your order using our SECURE Shopping Cart site:
http://wig-wag-trains-cart.com/home

If you MUST send an e-mail inquiry, copy & paste the entire description TEXT ONLY (NO pictures!) from the item you are ordering into your e-mail.
It will save time and reduce confusion in determining what you are inquiring about.
With the quantity of lines we carry it's not possible to memorize all of them.

December 08 - Intermountain has announced a new model in their Value Line line of roling stock.  Old timers will recognize the Welded-Side FMC WoodChip cars.  Coming in July or August of 2015 these cars will have three schemes available in singles and multi-packs as well as three other schemes coming in one road number only like the prototypes.  You need to order now in order to be sure you have them when they arrive.  Pre-Orders for these close at Wig-Wag @ 12:00 noon MST on January 29th.  Be sure to order NO LATER THAN the night before.  Don't wait to order since we will not order any additional for inventory.

Please submit your Order using our secure ON-LINE shopping cart and receive your order confirmation right awayIt's the SECURE way to place your order!  If you want to order by e-mail or phone and pay the $15 processing fee you may do so.   FYI: Shopping Cart Pre-Orders are processed each day.    With George now working trackside for the C&TSRR 170-180 miles from the shop it is the only way to get your order entered in the system in a timely manner.  He is gone from the shop 10-12 days each time he heads trackside and then here 2-4.  Currently he is in process of repairing the roof following hail damage to the 5th wheel he lives in.  So far we have spent 87.5% of his first year salary just to be able to be there.  Does that make any sense?  It has also been an experience since the temperatures at 8000 ft elevation drop into the 40's every night (in summer) and there is virtually no insulation in a trailer.  Winter in a trailer is already a very interesting (CHILLING) experience in the frozen tundra section of Colorado.  The San Luis Valley here in Colorado rivals International Falls, MN for the coldest USA temperature every winter night

December 08 - Intermountain has announced a new load from Motrak they will release for the Value Line Woodchip hoppers.  Coming in July or August of 2015 these loads are just right for your woodchip cars.  You need to order now in order to be sure you have them when they arrive.  Pre-Orders for these close at Wig-Wag @ 12:00 noon MST on January 29th.  Be sure to order NO LATER THAN the night before.  We will order few if any for inventory.

December 08 - Deluxe Innovations has announced the long anticipated production of the first release of their Maxi-IV cars is in route with one little change.  The factory has billed them at a 35% higher cost than the most recent adjustment.  Deluxe believes they have absorbed as much of that increase as they can so the retail price must go up to pickup some of the increase.  The new retail is now $89.95.   When the retail price goes up so must ours.  Our price should be 25% off the retail.  Debra was going to get the adjusted price posted last night and I do not know if she did.  "It has been crazy in the storefront with holiday shoppers." is the last report I got from her.  In any case our new price will be posted on the Shopping Cart only.  Follow this link to go there. If you are unwilling to absorb your share advise us no later than 12/30 at noon MST.  They will be in our hands in January and in yours shortly after.  These cars were announced as far back as 2010 so you have to refer to your hard copy records of what you ordered in order to be sure.

November 1 - Pontification Time: While I hunkered down here in Mogote bivouacked near the RR working on the Rapido announcement (that I hope will be complete in an hour) I was listening to Sirius XM 70's on 7 for Casey Kasem's American Top 40.  As he counted down to Gladys Knight & the Pips Midnight Train to Georgia (their first #1 on 10/27/73) I was once again reminded of the Sunday night spent doing homework and counting down with Kasey.  Then I was troubled by all the consternation the Casem family has gone through since his passing.  I sit here in the cold of the San Luis Valley and pray that they can once and finally find the peace and tranquility that Kasey brought so many of my generation especially as he concluded each week with this phrase: "Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the Stars."  Now that AT40 has concluded for this week I will put in the Garth Brooks DVD from Wynn Las Vegas, the "Blame it all on My Roots" Concert.   What better day can one have.

October 31 - Trainworx has announced a limited run CNW trailer decorated for the Holidays produced in conjunction with the CNW Historical Society is available NOW.  We've placed our order so it is up to you to get one.  This will help you sell your modeling addiction to your relatives and friends.  If they see a way to bring the Holiday spirit to your layout they will let you get away with almost any prototypically accurate desires you have!    Pre-Orders NOW at Wig-Wag.  Don't wait to order since it is a limited production and when gone ... .

A Note on Stock Status:
Not all items can be in stock at all times. Due to minimum order requirements from manufacturers and distributors and shipping charges, we "bunch" up re-orders to save you money. Sometimes it takes longer, but we can continue to offer the item at a substantial discount that way.

Confused about Reservations?
Please consider that this is the way we pay the bills and put food on the table. Taking pre-orders allows us to order enough to cover known demand. We attempt to gauge (ok, guess) how many will be ordered after the order deadline plus allow us to have the item in stock for 45-60 days after shipment by the manufacturer.
Sometimes we get it right and sometimes we don't. Occasionally, when an item is not likely to be produced again (D&RGW H-15-44s for example) we order beyond our guess to have a few for longer than that.
