Stock Checks:
Inventory is a fluid commodity.  It changes by the hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it.
We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson. When we held items for customers’ orders, the order never materialized 80%+ of the time.  We lost out on the orders placed while the item was on hold.  Also we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual orders.
Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms pages, we don’t do it anymore.

June 23 -- Intermountain has corrected the road numbers for delivery of the 65501 R-40-23 Reefer cars in Pacific Fruit Express. We anticipate delivery in the last week of the month. If you have not already reserved these because of the previously erroneously announced duplicate delivery of road numbers, PLEASE reserve as quickly as possible. June 23 -- Kato has announced a change in the makeup of their new passenger train, Santa Fe's El Capitan.  We placed our order already (Kato has very short timelines now.) but have extras for late reserves. PLEASE reserve ASAP. One bagage car was moved into the 10-car set and a coach was moved into the 2-car add-on set.

June 08 -- Kato has announced a new passenger train. Santa Fe's El Capitan is finally coming to N-Scale. This ten-car basic set and additional 2-car Add-On set can be used to replicate the original re-equipped 1954 "El Cap" or it can be used in various combinations with the previously released Super Chief cars to replicate the "Super-El Cap" right up to the Amtrak takeover in 1971. These cars were also used on the Texas Chief and the San Francisco Chief. Some former El-Capitan cars were used well into the late 1990's and later on various other Amtrak trains, including the Superliner equipped Coast Daylight.  We MUST place our order by 06/22/09. PLEASE reserve before then.

June 08 -- Fox Valley Models has delivered to distributors, and they have shipped to us, the second group (#9006) of Milwaukee Road Horizontal Rib boxcars. May 30 -- Micro-Trains© Line has indicated that they are allocating the SP caboose that is to be delivered this month. We have continuously encouraged then to take pre orders for monthly deliveries so that demand is filled. We do not know how many we will actually receive. Customers with standing orders for all releases will receive theirs first. May 12 -- Trainworx has announced THREE new releases of their GS Drop Bottom Gondolas.  Reserves are open now and we have already placed an order with additional orders to be placed every day till they are sold out FCFS applies to all Trainworx gondolas.
