This 40’ double sheathed wood box car with single door and vertical brakewheel is painted black.  Lettering is black with black herald and white with red drop shadows.  It was built in November 1909, serviced in April 1931, and runs on Bettendorf trucks.  This car was converted from a refrigerated car to one used in carrying the treated coal referred to as “Dustless Fuel.”

This 50’ steel gondola with fishbelly sides and drop ends is painted brown with white herals and lettering.  It was built by Bethlehem Steel in 1951, serviced in 1972, and carries a coke load on Bettendorf trucks.  The Western Maryland Railway was an American Class I railroad which operated in Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.  It was primarily
a coal hauling and freight railroad, with a small passenger train operation.  The WM became part of the Chessie System in 1973 and ceased operating its lines in 1983 when it was merged into the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. - Note text provided by M-TL errors and all

This 33’ twin bay hopper with offset sides is painted brown with the large black and white ‘Beaver Skin’ logo and white lettering. It was built in May 1949, serviced in July 1963, and runs with a coal load on Roller Bearing trucks.  The St. Louis–San Francisco Railway, also known as the Frisco, was a railroad that operated in the Midwest and South Central U.S. from 1876 to April 17, 1980. It was purchased and absorbed into the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1980.

This 30’ single dome tank car owned and operated by Warren Petroleum Corp. is an 8074 gallon, non-coiled insulated tanker with Bettendorf trucks built November 1948 from an order for 64 on lot# TC-3386 by American
Car & Foundry.  It’s painted green on aluminum with black belly and underframe.  The Warren logo is green and lettering is white; Reporting mark and road number is black.

This 40’ general service drop bottom gondola is painted black with white herald and lettering.  It was built in November 1936 by Pressed Steel Car Company, serviced in 1964, and runs on Bettendorf trucks.  These tough little drop bottom cars were more versatile than the open hoppers or solid bottom gondolas also owned by the railroad and continued to be seen well into the 1970s, even after the merger into Burlington Northern.

This three bay Evans covered hopper is painted Lobster Red with large TP&W logo and white lettering.  It was built in August 1977 and runs the rail on Barber Roller Bearing trucks.  The Toledo, Peoria and Western Railway (TPW) is a short line railroad that operates from Mapleton, IL through Peoria, IL, and on to Logansport, IN with trackage rights in other areas of Indiana and Illinois.  The road transported more than 20,000 carloads in 2010, including agricultural commodities and chemicals, machinery, cement, feed meals and biodiesel, wind tower components, and high/wide shipments.

The model has a light freight car red rack mounted on a yellow Trailer Train flatcar, with white deck tops along with black and white lettering. It includes etched stainless steel vandal panels to represent the prototype as it appeared in the late 1970s and 1980s. As with the prototype, the deck flaps are not present. Prior to the appearance of enclosed auto racks, open frame auto racks were equipped with stainless steel panels to deter vandalism while in transit.
