Please Note:
First: Some Micro-Trains releases can be limited and sell out in the first 1-2 days of the month.
Second: Occasionally M-TL allocates orders and even when we order additional quantities beyond our Auto-Ship quantities on the first day of orders at 7:00am we do not receive all we ordered. If this happens this month, we may be forced to allocate to our reservations based on timing of the reserve. If the customer requests multiple copies of an item they may be limited.
Third: Micro-Trains© Line delivers auto-ship quantities "simultaneously" across the United States. Our shipment should arrive on the second or third business day of the month. Once they arrive here, stock pricing applies. Place your reservations by close of business on the first business day of the month. For most of our customers this will not be an issue.
Fourth: As always, if you have reserved (via e-mail with confirmation) an entire run of a series we will pre-order enough of those items to fill your order. Also customers who order at least one of everything released in any scale (N, Nn3, Z or HOn3) are assured of getting theirs as well. |

50’ Standard Box Car w/ Single Sliding Door

| This 50’ standard box car with single sliding door is painted brown with white logo and lettering. The door is painted yellow with large brown ‘LRD’ lettering for ‘Load Restraining Devices.’ It was built in August 1957, rebuilt in April 1966, and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. During the rebuild in ‘66, Load Restraining Devices were installed, apparent from the paint scheme—the yellow door with large LRD. These cars were specially equipped to keep loads from shifting during transit, saving the shipper the expense of custom built restraints. The LRDs were moveable walls that could be locked into place. They were particularly useful in bracing stacks of boxes, transporting food and other merchandise. It was a non-insulated car carrying loads tolerant of extreme temperatures. |

| This 50’ standard box car with double doors and no roofwalk is painted mineral brown with white CN ‘wet noodle’ logo and lettering with white reflectors. It was built in October 1957 by Canadian Car & Foundry, serviced in October 1981, and runs on Roller Bearing trucks. It was part a 420-car order later renumbered into series 798050-798079 to provide dedicated service for auto parts loading. It was renumbered again in 1969 into 796050-796079 where they existed until 1999. |

It was built in August 1973 by the Greenville Steel Car Co. and runs on Roller Bearing trucks. This car and its series are in their original paint scheme and are easily spotted by the white wrap around bands on the ends, marking their excess height designation. This car usually hauled auto parts and household appliances that required the extra height offered. |

Originally part of the 200-car series 72800-72999, it was one of 25 cars that were renumbered into the series 73800-73824 between 1960 and 1964. They were fitted to wear removeable covers and put into steel service. |

Stock Checks:
Inventory is a fluid commodity. It changes by the hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it. We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson. When we held items for customers’ orders, the order never materialized 80%+ of the time. We lost out on the orders placed while the item was on hold. Also we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual orders. Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms pages, we don’t do it anymore. You may, however, call in and we will tell you if the items are available and if possible attempt to locate what we don’t have while you are on the phone. |
