Occasionally M-TL allocates orders and even when we order
additional quantities beyond our Auto-Ship quantities on the
first day of orders at 7:00am we do not receive all we ordered.

our reservations based on timing of the reserve and if the

each of the Canadian provinces and territories.
It displays the Rock Ptarmigan and Purple
Saxifrage flower, Nunavut’s
official territorial bird and flower. The
flag of
the territory of Nunavut is in the background.
The road number 1999 represents the year
the “Our Land, Our Strength” territory
joined the Confederation.

Built in October 1941, they
run on Bettendorf trucks. While the single
dome tankers were generally intended to carry
a large quantity
of a single commodity, the three dome tankers
were designed to carry smaller quantities
of multiple
products such as motor oil, gasoline or chemicals.
ACF began producing these cars
in 1934 and continued through 1946.

40’ drop bottom gondola is painted
black with large silver lettering, silver
stenciling and runs on black Barber® roller
bearing trucks. This is one of 300 gondolas
used by the Western Pacific for hauling anything
from coal or pipe to sugar beets. Sometime
between 1928 and 1930 they were upgraded with
new steel doors and ends.
Although these general service cars worked hard for decades, many survived
well into the 1970s.

It was built in 1966 for the Chicago,
Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railway
from an order of a 10 cars on Lot #16001. This
car is a 4750-cuft, 3-
compartment aluminum covered hopper with 100-ton
Barber® roller bearing trucks. Corrosion
resistance and the lightweight of aluminum made it especially suited to the
construction of large covered hoppers. The 4750-cuft
aluminum covered hopper
car offers a payload of 105 tons, nearly 7 profit-tons
more than a steel car of comparable size.

This
50’ standard box car with plug door
is painted black with a yellow logo and lettering.
Built in 1972, it runs on black
roller bearing trucks. The Seaboard
Air Line merged with the Atlantic Coast Line
on
July 1, 1967, to form The Seaboard
Coast Line. About 1974, SCL began
advertising itself as “The Family Lines.” The
title was a marketing device,
not a corporate name. The names in
this family: SCL, Louisville & Nashville,
Clinchfield, Georgia Railroad,
and the West Point Route. The SCL continued
to operate trains of its predecessors. On
November 1, 1980, SCL and
Chessie System were merged into the CSX Corporation.
On December 29, 1982, Louisville & Nashville
was merged into SCL to form the Seaboard System Railroad.

50’ standard box car with Youngstown
door is painted dark green with a horizontal
white stripe across the sides and
doors. The car displays the Monad logo, “Scenic
Route of the Vista Dome” lettering, the
arched “Northern Pacific lettering
and runs on black Bettendorf trucks. Originally,
these 50’ single door cars
built by NP in October 1950 were
part of series 31000-31499. Some from this
group were converted into “DF” service
by the Northern Pacific at Brainerd in 1954-1956 and painted into NP’s
dark green with the “DF” medallion
on the door advertising the
accommodations for their shippers. They were
re-numbered into the 1100-1295 series.
