Featuring New Crossbracing!
This 89’ tri-level open auto rack is painted freight
car red with white lettering and runs on black Barber®
roller bearing trucks. The black placard is painted with Pennsylvania’s
keystone logo in red and white. Typically, the railroad would
furnish the rack and Trailer Train Company would furnish the
flat car. Racks of a given lot were placed on whatever TTX
cars were available. Consequently the racks in a given number
series would be applied on cars with an assorted set of car
numbers. Note the slight variation between PRR’s standard
freight car red and the TTX version on KTTX 901496

Standard Box Car with Plug Door

This 40’ standard box car with plug door representing
the state of Wyoming is car #15 of a 50-car series for each
of the 50 states in the union. It is painted dark blue with
aluminum sides and sports a Western Meadowlark and Indian
Paintbrush flower, Wyoming’s official bird and flower.
The flag of the state of Wyoming is in the background. The
road number 1890 is the year the ‘Equality State’
was admitted to the Union.

ton 3-bay Open Hopper
Western Maryland
Road Number WM 89862
P/N: 108150
This 40’ 100 ton 3-bay open hopper with rib sides is
black with yellow lettering and “Chess-C” logo.
It carries a coal load and runs on black Barber® roller
bearing trucks. One of 194 cars built in the mid-1960s by
Bethlehem Steel Car Company located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania,
WM #89862 was repainted and renumbered at the Elkins Shops
in Elkins, West Virginia in 1981.

| 48’ Stoughton

This 48’ Stoughton container built in 1991 is part of
BN’s Intermodal promotional program and in 1996 was
painted with the bright “Cityview” 4-color mural
celebrating Atlanta, “Site of the 1996 Olympics”.
In 1988 the Burlington Northern initiated the brilliant BN
Intermodal promotional program, applying “City Paint”
schemes to special trailers and containers. There were originally
ten (10) different city scenes and one (1) state (Montana)
worn by the trailers. The BN Intermodal containers depicted
a total of 4 cities. The two from the USA are Atlanta and
Omaha and the two from Canada are Toronto and Montreal.

Sheathed Wood Reefer
Canadian National
Road Number CN 10329
P/N: 49570
This 40’ double sheathed wood reefer with vertical brake
wheel is black with green sides and yellow lettering and runs
on black Bettendorf trucks. Canadian National #10329 was built
in 1915 by Canadian Car & Foundry as Grand Trunk Pacific
6014. In 1924, CN renumbered it into the series 10300-10397.
It was equipped with charcoal heaters in the London Shops,
Ontario in October, 1939.

This colorful 51’ 3-3/4” rivet side mechanical
reefer with aluminum roof and ends, C&O Yellow sides w/C&O
Blue stripe and runs on roller bearing trucks. 50 cars built
in 1956 by Pacific Car and Foundry Company wear the standard
NYC scheme for mechanical refrigerator cars--aluminum roof
and ends, C&O Medium Yellow sides with a C&O Blue
stripe and type 4, 20” “New York Central”
herald.

Flatcar with Fishbelly Sides and Side Mount Brakewheel
United States Air Force
Road Number DAF 35507
P/N: 45190
This Air Force Blue, 50ft. flat car with fishbelly
sides and side mount brakewheel has white lettering and Air
Force insignia and runs on black Bettendorf trucks. DAF 35507
was built by the Major Car Corporation in Scranton, PA in
March of 1951. The United States Air Force operates railroad
lines at certain installations. The mileage varies according
to military need.

Boxcar
Nevada Northern
Road Number NN 223
P/N: 25510
This 50’ rib side box car with single sliding door is
white with Black lettering and runs on Roller Bearing trucks.
Originally built by Berwick Forge & Fabrication for Nevada
Northern in 1980, the cars in this series were acquired only
a few years later by Mississippian Railway when Nevada Northern
suspended operation due to diminished need. At that time,
the cars continued to use the Nevada Northern lettering and
logo, but the reporting marks were changed to MISS to conform
to the parent company.
