California State Car
Road Number CA 1850
This 40' Standard Boxcar with plug door representing the state
of California is car #2 of a 50-car series for each of the
50 states in the union. It is painted dark blue with aluminum
sides and sports the golden poppy, California quail and the
California state flag. The road number 1850 is the year California
was admitted to the Union.

Union Pacific
Road Number UP 18122
This 100-ton 3-bay hopper with rib sides was built by Bethlehem
Steel Company October of 1962. It is painted UP Brown with
yellow lettering and yellow logo. This hopper runs on brown
Barber Roller Bearing trucks. The AAR designation HT tells
us this is an open top, self-clearing car with fixed sides
and ends.

Railway
Road Number SL-SF 42466
This 50' rib side box car with single door and no roofwalk
was built in February 1972. It is painted box car red with
black and white logo and white lettering. It is mounted on
Barber roller bearing trucks and uses a miner brake wheel.

Bay
Road Number ASAB 7208
This 50' rib side box car with single door and no roofwalk
was built by FMC of Portland, Oregon, in August 1983. Painted
RWX Green with yellow logo and white lettering runs with the
nickname "The Bay Line." ASAB 7208 is mounted on
black Barber Roller Bearing trucks and handles a wide variety
of commodities including: paper products, lumber, chemicals,
coal, stone, steel and fertilizer.

Road Number PGE 4521
This 50' standard box car with plug door was built in February
1966 by Pacific Great Eastern Railway of Vancouver, British
Columbia. It is painted boxcar red with black and white logo
and white lettering. It runs on Bettendorf trucks.

Northern Pacific
Road Number NP 62718
NP 62718 was built in December 1967 out of components from
General Steel Industries (GSI). It is painted black with white
lettering exhibiting NP's flat car lettering scheme as applied
to GSI flats. The hallmark of GSI's flats was the massive
one-piece cast steel underframe. It is equipped with 10"
Freight Master end-of-car (EOC) cushioning, which is proclaimed
in the "CUSHION UNDERFRAME" lettering.

Denver & Rio Grande
Western
Road Number D&RGW 01156
Built by Haskell & Barker in 1913, D&RGW 01156 is
painted box car red with white lettering. It was serviced
in 1934 and runs on Archbar trucks. D&RGW 01156 was part
of an order for 50 wood-body cars with steel underframes.
These cars were a Rio Grande trademark and were extremely
long-lived, lasting into the 1960s.

Pennsylvania Railroad
Road Number PRR 363242
This 50' gondola with drop ends and fishbelly sides was built
February 1943 by the Pennsylvania Railroad shops then repainted
in the 'Keystone Shadow' paint in January 1956. This scheme
consists of a freight car red body with white print. The keystone
logo is shadowed with black. It runs on Bettendorf trucks.

General American Tank
Car Co.
Road Number GATX 19638
This 39' single dome tank car is painted black with yellow
lettering. It was built in May 1957 by General American Tank
Car Company and serviced September 10, 1957. It has a 100,000
lb capacity and runs on Bettendorf trucks.
