Sante Fe
Road Number ATSF 126 & 133 MSRP $210.75 OUR PRICE
$158.07
Sante Fe was the largest and first buyer of the FT, eventually
aquiring 320 units in several batches. So impressed with it’s
service, Sante Fe utilized the lightweight prime mover in
both Freight and Passenger trains with it’s last FT
retiring from service in 1966. The FT’s Cream Yellow
and Blue paint scheme came before the Chrome Plated, Red and
Yellow Warbonnet livery.

New York Central
Road Number NYC 1600/2400 & 1601/2401 OUR PRICE $141.75
New York Central was one of the largest roads to buy the FT,
only operating 8 units primarily for Freight Service opting
not to add steam generators for passenger needs. The four
A-B units were semi-perminanently coupled throughout their
careers operating initially as two-four units sets before
being broken up. Marked in the distinctive black and two tone
gray striped scheme, the New York Central FT’s joined
a vast fleet of diesels late in their career soon to be overtaken
by the F2’s being introduced. The last pair was traded
for GP-35’s in 1964.
