there was Hyundai Merchant Marine. Their red-orange dry
boxes in 20', 40', and 45' lengths are a common sight around
the world. The shipping line is operated separately from
the auto making and heavy manufacturing Hyundai entities.
In addition to container ships, they also operate a wide

based mega-shipper Evergreen. The lettering style on the sides
is quite similar to Evergreen and the round logos used on the

line. In recent years, they took control of the ailing third
largest German shipping line DSR-Senator Line. Now it is common
to see the familiar Hanjin "H" logo on the nose of
DSR-Senator boxes as well as these.

Netherlands based Nedlloyd has become a
more common sight in North America in recent years after their
combination with P&O. Since Nedlloyd is a Dutch Crown Corporation,
and P&O is British, they didn't really merge as such. Their
arrangement is more of a joint venture for pooling of ships
and containers. The two companies remain separate and offer
some services under their individual names. These containers
come in 2 packs with 2 different road numbers.

combined. The result was one of the largest carriers in the
