Class
J 4-8-4 Locomotive & Tender
The Class J 4-8-4 was the last mainline steam locomotive to run
in the United States. Designed for optimum speed, the “J” once
reached 115 mph during a land speed test until a hesitant engineer
closed the throttle.
This loco will be equipped with a DCC decoder. Can run analog
or DCC.
The popularity of our HO version of this model inspired Bachmann
to offer this newly tooled
locomotive to N scale modelers.
Features include: • DCC ready • die-cast boiler,
underframe, and tender frame • precision motor
•
separately applied detail parts and laser-cut exterior detailing • die-cast
finescale driver spokes
•
dummy knuckle couplers, front and rear
This locomotive performs best on E-Z Track® curves with a
minimum radius of 19"
