Item Description
Part #: BLMA-69 Trainline Air Hoses (injection molded) 24 ea
These injection molded Trainline Air Hoses are great for all locomotives, freight cars and passenger cars. Trainline Air Hoses are found on both ends of ALL railroad rolling stock (this includes any locomotives, freight cars and passenger cars).  The purpose of the Trainline Air Hose is to carry and distribute air to every car in a train for braking purposes (trains of course use an air brake system).
Installation Instructions
1. Remove the moldings from spur with a sharp hobby knife.
2. The mount on these air hoses is .016", so a drill bit around that diameter should work fine.
3. Drill a single hole in the proper place (view prototype photos) and mount in the hole with glue.
4. We suggest painting the angle cock (top) and hose coupler silver (bottom) and the actual "hose" part a flat black (to simulate rubber).

Part #: BLMA-402 Freight Car Stirrups (many styles)
This set includes the four most common styles of Freight Car Stirrups with multiple ways of mounting. This set can retro-fit up to fourteen cars!
Installation Instructions
We've designed the stirrups in this set to mount in a few different ways, giving you ultimate control over your unique project
Styles A-C: Though it is not visible in the scanned photograph of the etching to the right, there is a half-etched fold line where the stirrup meets the square portion of metal at the top.  Make a fold at the half-etched line so the stirrup is perpendicular to the square.  This flat square will allow you to simply glue the stirrup to the bottom of a freight car without any drilling.
Styles D-F: These three styles are exact copies of styles A-C but feature a different mounting method.  For these stirrups, two #80 holes must be drilled into the underside of the freight car before mounting.  Each stirrup has two small half-etched circles etched into the side so you will know how far down the stirrup should extend.
Style G: This style mounts the same way as styles D-F but offers a different, less common style of stirrup for earlier rolling stock.

Part #: BLMA-403 Freight Car Coupler Platforms (2 styles!)
Nearly all modern freight cars (and many older ones) have either one of these two styles of Coupler Platforms to assist crews when they have to pass between two cars. Included in this set are ten each of the Apex and Morton style platforms. This is a quick part that adds a great deal of detail to a model in a short amount of time.
Installation Instructions
1. Cut the platform out of the etched frame using a sharp hobby knife.
2. Many freight cars come with a very crude plastic strip that is supposed to represent the platform.  Simply remove that with a sharp blade and note the direct center.
3. Drill a #80 hole in the lower center of the car at the end (see reference photos to the right).
4. Dip the end of the platform mount in glue and secure in the hole drilled in step three.

Part #: BLMA-404 Freight/Passenger Car Cut Levers (wire w/etched parts)
For the first time ever in N Scale, you can easily add freight/passenger car cut levers to your rolling stock.  Our set features eight pairs of the most common cut levers around along with four different mounting configurations for almost any car styles.   Etched in .010" spring temper brass, our product takes on the look of the prototype while offering the durability of spring temper brass.
Installation Instructions
We’ve included four different mounting bracket styles to fit nearly any type of car.  Note that in the photo below, the bracket in the foreground is flat while the bracket in the background has been bent correctly.  The cut lever should sit on top of the very small tab at the bottom of the cut lever (this part folds perpendicular to the rest of the bracket).  The hole at the top of the mounting bracket will aid with gluing.
The mounting brackets located at the top of the etching do not require multiple bends like the outer brackets on the fret (pictured below).  These brackets are for cars that require the mount to be secured directly to the end of the car or for a car with inaccessible room for mounting underneath.

Item Description

Stock Checks:

Inventory is a fluid commodity.  It changes by the hour (sometimes by the minute). To retain our pricing structure we maintain stock levels designed to turnover 6 times each year. We cannot guarantee stock status till we have an order in hand. All product is subject to prior sale. If we confirm that we have it, and, while we are waiting for the order it sells, you would be upset that we did not hold it.
We used to hold items but learned a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson. When we held items for customers’ orders, the order never materialized 80%+ of the time.  We lost out on the orders placed while the item was on hold.  Also we wasted staff time that could have been used to pull actual orders.
Since we are well known for finding older stock the fact that it may not be on our shelves at this minute does not mean we can’t get it. So, as we spell out on our terms pages, we don’t do it anymore.
You may, however, call in and we will tell you if the items are available and if possible attempt to locate what we don’t have while you are on the phone.
