Train Show News

Wig-Wag Trains and the New Mexico Railrunners
Will assist St Mary’s Church with their annual Fiesta and Fundraiser in Vaughn, NM
September 3 & 4, 2011

The Train Show will be in the Fire Station with the Fiesta in the adjacent building.  Here is a map of Vaughn:

Model Trains will be running from 10:00am till 5:00pm on Saturday September 3, 2011
And again following 9:00am Mass till 4:00pm on Sunday September 4, 2011

BNSF crosses over Union Pacific on a spectacular fill.  Each railroad runs trains through Vaughn 24-hours a day 7-days a week.

UP trains change crews in Vaughn so every train is available for photo ops.

BNSF begins a section of single track just west of Vaughn.  Many westbound trains are delayed waiting for eastbound trains to clear.  BNSF tracks can easily see 60 trains each day with UP adding about 20-25.

Vaughn is one of the few places in the USA where almost no trees block the view anywhere and there is sunshine on more than 350 days every year.  From almost any point in a 10 mile square area you can see ~80 trains a day.

Please come, see some trains both large and small, and help support St Mary’s Church.
Contributions to assist the Church without attendance gladly accepted and will be acknowledged by the Church for tax reporting purposes.
Neither the NM Railrunners nor Wig-Wag Trains are accepting any compensation.
